THE FULL DAY HELIFISHING TOUR

This is our most popular Heli fishing trip as we travel to more and further away fishing spots where we usually catch Barra in larger quantities and bigger fish. In 2011 after a bumper wet season we caught and released over 1500 Barra on the full day tour of which about 50 were over the magical metre mark. We depart around 8.00 am and won't be back till late afternoon with around 7 hours of fishing time at up to 6 different locations depending on the tides that day.

You get about 2 hours flight time in the chopper and will fly over wetlands teeming with wild life on your way to and from our fishing spots. Waterbirds, crocodiles and feral pigs are usually all in abundant numbers most times of the year and the viewing experience is second to none.

 Catch's of 15 or more good Barra is the usual but varies with seasonal variations. Check out the     fishing report page    for details of past catchs from month to month. Most of the "Barra Frenzy" video on the video page was taken at the full day locations as was the "Hooked" TV show with Dave Butfield. We provide all fishing gear, lunch's, softdrinks and plenty of cool water. You will need to bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and a camera. Your Helifishing trip departs from MKT airfield at Noonamah which is about a 30 mins drive from Darwin City.

Cost based on a minimum of 2 persons is $1150.00 per person and $950.00 per person for a group of 3. Weight restrictions of  270 kgs combined apply for 3 persons.
