Photographic Tours and Expeditions

Helifish operates a Robinson R44 Helicopter capable of seating 3 photographers. There is probably no better way of accessing remote and unique landscapes and places in the Northern Territory than by chopper. Not only that but if its aerial image capture you are looking for then a helicopter with doors removed is a platform second to none.
Only minutes from Darwin you can access areas that are teeming with bird life, lily lined billabongs, snaking rivers, waterfalls and more. Access to the Mary river system and floodplains is only half an hour away from your departure point and you will fly over floodplains and landscapes with countless photo opportunities. If wildlife is your focus then it doesn’t get much better with Crocodiles, Buffalo, Jabirus and Magpie Geese all in abundant numbers. The Top End is renowned for its bird life on the wetlands and billabongs so image capture opportunities are only limited by your imagination.
Further afield are locations like Kakadu and Arnhem Land, Gregory National park and the stunning Victoria River Region. These areas can be accessed by utilising a light aircraft to get there then linking up with your helicopter which will reduce costs.
Departure and return times are totally flexible to capture the best light conditions for your needs. The seating configuration ensures everyone gets an unobstructed view.

Some of these locations require permits for entry so advanced bookings are required.
